Fertiliser Inflation Affects Global Food Supply Crisis

Fertilizer is a global commodity and can be influenced by multiple market factors. Two-thirds of global fertilizer demand is driven primarily by six crops. Globally, corn represents about 16% of the farm-use fertilizer demand, with wheat a close second, representing about 15% of global farm-use fertilizer demand. Rice represents about 14% of global farm-use fertilizer demand, followed by vegetables at 9%, fruits at 7% and soybeans at 5%.

Fertilizer expenses have increased far beyond the levels that agricultural simulation models would have predicted. Farmers and planters are considering to apply less fertilizer. Topland Biofertilizer helps to resolve and provide solution of lowering fertilizing cost, labour cost and transportation cost without affecting effect of yields.

Cost Saving and Effective Result

Most of the oil palm planters in Malaysia apply 3 kg of conventional fertilizer per oil palm tree, whereas Topland users only need to apply 0.5kg of Topland biofertilizer per oil palm tree. Less application of Topland biofertilizer will not mean lower production, yet in return with quality yield and better soil condition.

LKB provides an agricultural solution that is cost-saving and environmental-friendly. Topland biofertilizer lowers planting cost, cultivates healthier soil and provides a more sustainable future.
