The size of oil palm plantations in Malaysia varies depending on the specific location and the company operating the plantation. However, on average, oil palm plantations in Malaysia can range from a few hectares to several thousand hectares in size. The state of Sabah in Malaysia is known to have the biggest oil palm plantations, with some of them covering more than 100,000 hectares. Other states such as Sarawak, Perak, Pahang, and Johor are also major producers of oil palm in Malaysia, with plantations ranging from several thousand hectares to tens of thousands of hectares in size.

According to studies, the amount of fertilizer used on oil palm globally varies depending on several factors, such as the age of the plantation, the soil type, and the climate conditions. However, on average, oil palm plantations typically use between 100 and 200 kg of fertilizer per hectare per year.
